Despite suffering an Achilles tendon injury, Denise swept to victory at Sydney, becoming only the sixth British woman to win Olympic gold in the history of track and field.

Denise Lewis is an Olympic gold medalist, successful TV presenter and the President of Commonwealth Games England.
