We all have mountains to climb.
And there is only one way to the top… put one foot in front of the other, one day at a time.
And never stop believing that it’s possible.
Lucy has been climbing mountains since she could walk. She has a deep love for the outdoors and pushing her physical and mental limits to new heights.
Lucy began her highpointing adventure — climbing to the top of every state’s highest mountain — at the age of seven when she and her family visited Black Mountain in Kentucky.
Looking at the US geological survey marker on top of the mountain, Lucy and her family began to wonder where other state highpoints were located.
They spent the next four hours while driving home looking up and reading about state highpoints.
For the next five years, Lucy and her family traveled throughout the United States climbing each state’s highest mountain.
Sets a World Record
On July 22, 2016, at the age of 12, Lucy set a world record as the youngest female to climb the lower 48 state highpoints.
Sets Another World Record
On June 20, 2021, at the age of 17, Lucy sets the world record as the youngest female to climb all 50 US state highpoints.
Lucy has a passion to do more than climb mountains for herself. She wants to impact the world in a positive way and inspire others to join her in the effort.
As an ambassador of WaterStep, Lucy dedicates her climbs to raising money and awareness for our world’s water and sanitation crisis.
She is also an up-and-coming motivational speaker that ignites groups into thought, reflection, and action.
PUBLIC SPEAKING
To successfully climb the world’s highest mountains, it takes perspective, purpose, a plan, priorities, and then the hardest of all, peak performance.
Lucy will take you on an inspiring adventure sharing the lessons she has learned on the mountain and how they apply to everyday life.
Her inspiring story will motivate and energize individuals and teams to climb their next mountain and provide the framework for how to get to the top.
WATERSTEP
Lucy has been a WaterStep ambassador since climbing Kilimanjaro in January 2017.
On that trip, she installed a WaterStep system in a rural village in Uganda that now supplies 3000 people a day with safe drinking water.
Lucy is dedicated to impacting our world’s water crisis by helping to bring safe water to the 748 million people living without it.
