The Flyaways
Music & Dance acts > Cover bands and tribute bands
The Flyaways have been playing together since 2011. Since the beginning, there has always been 1 ambition…to entertain! They offer a quartet of 2 guitars, double bass, drums and 3 part harmonies with the addition of slide guitar to recreate a unique americana style.
To experience them play live is like a wave of energy! Not only are you seeing 4 experienced and trained musicians, you are also seeing 4 good friends sharing a stage together. The chemistry between them enables the band to entertain with ease, to get the audience involved with songs, and to make sure every last person is having an unbelievable night.
The band take their music on an improvised journey through genres including rock, pop, soul, hip hop, country, and jazz, and can switch instruments and lead vocalists. The music on the night will take you through the ages. 50’s rock ‘n’ roll, funk and soul classics, raucous indie rock and the latest pop hits, with some 90s/00s hip hop thrown in – all seamlessly blended together to keep the party moving.
Their trademark 3 part vocal harmonies will leave you stunned, and the clever twists and medleys in the arrangements will keep you on your toes, transforming songs you’ve known your whole life into something new and exciting.
