Anna Alex is the Founder and CCO of Planetly which is a climate-tech-company developing digital tools enabling companies to analyze, reduce and compensate their CO2 emissions

She has been Voted one of Europe’s “Inspiring Fifty”, i.e. the 50 most inspirational women in technology.

At the end of 2019, Anna founded Planetly, the worldwide pioneer in Carbon Accounting SaaS.
In only 3 years we scaled Planetly to 250 employees and over 350 customers leading the technical innovation in this space. In 2021 we sold Planetly to a US Software Company. From 2012 to 2018, I have successfully built up the Personal Shopping Service OUTFITTERY, which is today the leading curated Shopping Company in Europe.

By the end of 2018, I retired from operative business, but continue in supporting the company as a board member.Ann is an active Angel Investor in the space of Climate Tech, serve in multiple Boards such as the Vodafone Sustainability Board and am part of the advisory council “Young digital economy” of the German Minister for economics.

Anna Alex is a co-founder of OUTFITTERY, an online store with a vision of creating a fun, convenient, and inspiring online shopping experience specifically targeting men.

From its humble beginnings, the company now provides individual outfits to over 600K clients in eight countries.

Throughout her career, she was voted amongst Europe’s “Inspiring Fifty”, the “most inspirational women in tech “ and Junge Elite –Top 40 under 40′′

Anna realised her entrepreneurial spirit and creativity were being limited. She soon came to the conclusion that she was not made to fit in with a large corporation. Her next internship took her to a startup, where she was amazed at how she, as an intern, could help make beneficial changes in a business environment.

Anna Alex inspired by the “Leaders For Climate Action” initiative which Anna joined in 2019, she founded Planetly together with Benedikt Franke.

It’s Planetly’s declared goal to make the business world carbon-neutral. She strongly believes that data and technology have what it takes to provide companies with the required transparency of their CO2 footprint leading to actionable steps to reduce it.

Anna’s keynote speech and workshops combined inspiration and actionable advice at our careers event. Anna was great to work with, flexible to our needs and I would definitely recommend her as a speaker.
