Currently supporting organisations as a fractional CISO and Security Strategist through his founding consulting business, Alvearium Associates. 

Christian provides measured guidance to a range of companies including FTSE 250 organisations, law firms and regulated industries on security strategy, governance and incident response.

Christian’s unique perspective comes from his time building cyber professional services within Pinsent Masons LLP, where he bridged technical security expertise with legal frameworks.

Prior roles as CISO at Pinsent Masons, Coventry Building Society and MS Amlin, and leadership roles at PWC and Iron Mountain that gave him hands-on experience managing complex security challenges across international, regulated environments.

Beyond his corporate work, Christian contributes to cybersecurity governance through his position on Lancaster University’s Cyber Risk Audit Committee and previously on the Scottish Government’s National Cyber Resilience Advisory Board. 

His approach balances technical knowledge with pragmatic business understanding, informed by his experiences in managing breaches and working with leading organisations.
