One of the pioneering minds of commercial space travel, Stephen Attenborough is the former Chief Customer Officer of Virgin Galactic.
Stephen joined the company as employee number one in 2004, to lay the commercial foundations for the world’s first spaceline, and was responsible for initiating and guiding the customer journey to the transformative experience of spaceflight.
Stephen’s extraordinary 18 years with Virgin Galactic culminated in Richard’s Branson’s history making trip to space and saw Galactic become the first human spaceflight company to be taken public with its $3bn NYSE listing.
Following his departure from Virgin Galactic, he’s been invited to remain a member of the Virgin family as a Board member of Virgin Unite.
Stephen Attenborough’s name is synonymous with the opening of space to private individuals.
