ARE YOU READY FOR THE FUTURE?
And is your organisation ready for the future?
Thomas De Jong is the founder of Whetston Strategic foresight, a global think tank that provides keynote presentations and leadership training on the future of human behaviour.
Who is Thimon De Jong?
Thimon de Jong is the founder of WHETSTON, a strategic foresight think tank based in Amsterdam. WHETSTON explores the future of human behaviour, societal trends and generational change.
These insights are then applied to leadership and business strategy.
Thimon is an experienced (virtual) keynote speaker and leadership trainer and has worked for clients like Morgan Stanley, Vodafone, IKEA, Novartis, Nike, Microsoft, Warner, Tetra Pak and L’Oreal.
Thimon also lectures at the social psychology department of Utrecht University.
He is a former insights & strategy director at TrendsActive, researcher at FreedomLab Future Studies and editor- in-chief of RELOAD Magazine. His first book Future Proof will be published in 2021.
Future Proof Leadership
Thimon specialises in the topic of ‘future proof leadership’ in which he prepares (future) leaders for the 2020’s and beyond.
He deep dives into the profound future behavioural changes in response to a rapidly digitalising post-truth world and a (post) corona society.
Trust levels in society are imploding whilst tech developments are exploding spectacularly.
What does this mean for leaders?
How are we going to collaborate?
And what does the next generation of talent want?
However, Thimon also delivers talks on the following topics.
IMAGINING A POST-COVID WORLD
It is time to envision how we will come out of this Covid crisis (the so-called transition/compensation period) and the world after the pandemic.
What do the roaring twenties have in store for us and how to practically think about that post-Covid world?
HIGH-TRUST LEADERSHIP IN LOW-TRUST TIMES
- What can leaders do to increase trust – in their organisations and in themselves?
- How will high-trust partnerships be build in the 2020’s?
- What are the implications on decision making of a low-trust / post-truth society?
MENTAL HEALTH IN THE 2020’S
Talking about mental health & resilience are part of the ‘new normal.’ What are the future expectations for the 2020’s? And most importantly: how can mental health be improved, both internally (employees) and externally (customers)?
THE FUTURE OF WORK(ING FROM HOME)
What is the future of work? How much WFH / remote work /hybrid work are we going to do? And how to attract the next generation of workers: what does the talent of the future want? How to attract and keep them?
Not only live, but also virtual.
The common denominators of a Whetston presentation: passion, story-telling & interactivity with only one goal: delivering memorable practical intellectual entertainment.
Thimon has presented all over the globe: from South-Africa to Iceland and from the US to South-Korea. Our clients are mostly multi-nationals and conferences, but also public organisations, NGO and governments.
